Summary/Context

At the London Work Fair, we developed an innovative digital personality assessment platform targeting youth engagement. This interactive experience merged digital identity exploration with physical photo opportunities, creating a unique bridge between online personas and real-world representation.

Challenge/Problem Statement

  • Creating an engaging personality assessment for digital-native youth;
  • Designing an intuitive quiz interface that maintains attention;
  • Developing accurate avatar matching algorithms;
  • Integrating physical and digital experiences seamlessly;
  • Ensuring accessibility and appeal across diverse youth demographics;

Project take aways

  • Bridging Service Manager-Technician Gap: Successfully created a unified platform that serves both service managers and technicians, eliminating communication barriers and enabling seamless collaboration across technical and strategic functions.
  • Single Dashboard Versatility: Demonstrated that one well-designed dashboard with multiple filtering capabilities can make complex data management both easier and intuitive, eliminating the need for separate tools and interfaces.
  • Strategic KPI Implementation: Defined KPIs prominently displayed on the first line of each card serve as executive summaries, keeping service managers informed about overall portfolio and asset performance while immediately highlighting critical alerts.
  • Enhanced Work Prioritisation: Enabled service managers to efficiently prioritise their workload, plan resource allocation, and tackle alerts systematically through clear visual hierarchy and actionable data presentation.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Transformed how renewable energy teams collaborate by converting technical complexity into strategic insights that drive informed decision-making across all organisational levels.

Delivery

Through focused research with youth groups, we developed a comprehensive framework for digital identity assessment. Our research informed both the quiz structure and the avatar design system, ensuring meaningful and relatable outcomes for our target audience.Outputs: Youth digital behaviour analysis; question framework methodology; avatar design documentation and user engagement strategy.

We created an end-to-end experience combining:

  • 25-question personality assessment;
  • Custom avatar matching system;
  • Physical photo opportunity setup;
  • Interactive result sharing platform;

Two rounds of user testing with youth groups validated our approach, ensuring the experience resonated with our target audience while maintaining engagement throughout the assessment process.

Outputs: Full-featured quiz application; custom avatar matching system; physical installation design and analytics dashboard;
